EXPERTISE

Dr. Lei has excellent knowledge and experience in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and

pharmaceutical science and many years of managerial experiences. In his tenure at Apotex he gained

intensive experiences in the areas of pharmaceutical synthesis, analytical method development &

validation, formulation development, pre-formulation, drug product stability evaluation, IVIVC

studies, reverse engineering, API evaluation, QbD, quality & compliance, and regulatory submissions.

He has in depth understanding to the scope of GMP and is familiar with the regulatory audit and

deficiency letter responses.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Dr. Dr. Lei joined Apotex Inc. in 1995 as a research scientist and has progressively moved into more

senior positions, presently as Associate Director, Analytical Research & Development.

Since joining the company he has served in several departments including Fine Chemicals, Pre-

formulations, Analytical Development, Analytical Technologies & Operations, API Evaluation and

currently Analytical R&D.

EDUCATION

Bo Lei obtained his B.Sc. from Hunan Normal University in China and received his

Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (Organic Synthesis) from Memorial University of

Newfoundland in Canada.

Mr. Lei did his postdoctoral research and became an associate researcher later in Plant Biotechnology

Institute, National Research Council Canada.
